Digital Arts
Digital Arts; this is a class that many adults have never truly taken, seeing how technology has advanced so greatly in the past few years.
At Animas High, we have the advantage to have Roxy McKnight teach us advanced Photoshop techniques, animations, and really anything we would like to learn about computers.

Brave New World Poster ProjectTo go with my Brave New World themed story, I decided I would like to create a book cover. This was going very well, until one day Roxy asked me if I wanted to actually publish the book. I had no clue that there were online publishers that could send a hardcover book to you, one that you designed and created yourself! Blurb.com was the site I used (the same one AHS is using for the yearbook), and it took me about a week to put the book together online. I had to convert all of my pages to JPEG files, but that was before I found out that you can just write on the pages :)

Flash Animation ProjectWhen we started this project, it was started with Art History. We took a week of lecture, and then decided what we wanted to do for our animations. My first reaction was excitement due to the fact that I could do a really nice animation. However I found there was much difficulty with my computer and program. It would not stop crashing on me!!! So this was the final project, that I had to quickly pump out in a week. All of the main people were hand drawn by me, that took me about 2 weeks to edit nicely.

XtraNormal Animation
This is a mini-project we had to do, because we are about to start a Flash Animation Project (check soon!!!). This was a completely random project, so of course it did not really pertain to our school work.

Self Portrait ProjectOur end of the semester project is a Photoshop self portrait. We have to place ourselves in a picture, and make it represent us, as who we are. In mine I'm standing on a bridge, in the middle of the woods. A poem is right next to me, representing my love for poetry.

Color Theory ProjectWe were learning about colors for our mask project and how colors will blend together. These sample photos (which of course HAVE to be anime!)show how the color wheel works and what the color theory is.

Teacher Poster ProjectThis project we had to do in Photoshop too. We had to create a poster using one of our teachers heads and Photoshop it onto another body (eg: other bodies, animal bodies, objects, etc...). On this project (with me and my otaku-ness)I took a cosplay picture of Soul Eater fans (do I really need to have link to everything you people don't know?!) and placed Roxy's, Dave's, and Matt's heads onto the bodies. In the background I tweaked a photo until it looked misty. I took the Soul Eater logo and placed my name in the area where it was in Japanese. And the Other object is a sun from the anime itself, which I also smudged.

Text ProjectsThis is a picture of my text project. We had to create several different types of text in Photoshop, which got a little confusing at points. Starting from the bottom left side, that is where we had to make a gel text (like the Mac OS text). Going up to the top left side, we had to make a transparent text on a picture, and the top right picture is of the design text, which was where we had to put a textured picture inside of a text.
